Suzhou Jiwan Gene Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was founded by Dr. Zhang Chun. The company focuses on the design, construction and production of adeno-associated virus (AAV) gene vectors. We use insect cells to produce these vectors on a large scale. After decades of research and years of development, we have made major breakthroughs in multiple major challenges related to AAV vectors, and possess world-leading technologies.
1. The company has overcome the problem of impure DNA packaging in rAAV vector packaging, greatly improving the purity of target DNA in rAAV carriers. Therefore, we can enhance the expression efficiency of rAAV vectors of infected cells, reduce the required amount of rAAV carriers, and improve the safety of rAAV carriers.
2. The company has solved the limitations of rAAV packaging capacity, by developing a method for large genes to be packaged into AAV vectors, with a packaging capacity of up to 7kb.
3. The company has developed an efficient gene-editing vector, which has increased the efficiency of AAV-CRISPR gene editing. AAV-CRISPR can be effectively implemented for
in vivo gene editing.
